And here I was...

Let me explain a little about myself and why.

I am George Tsotsos. Like so many 90s children I was raised with a healthy diet of endless amounts of TV (in fact my family was one of the first families in Canberra to get satellite subscription TV, it was known back then as 'Galaxy' now its called Foxtel) and Movies (so, my family also owned a private video rental store in Giralang) and Video games (for my 7th birthday my uncle got me a modded PlayStation original with 60 pirated games), so when I say I was raised on movies and TV and games I meant it literally.

At about 7 old I developed a fascination of being behind a camera, I indulged in taking simple Photographs with my yellow disposable camera of sunsets, colourful flowers, my dog, family...and of the TV its self. I even entered some photos into my Primary Schools fete 'Best Photograph' competition and came 2nd behind a professional studios photograph of somebodies baby.

On the same reel of my photo that won, keep in mind there were no digital cameras back then to verify a good photo and I never got my winning photo back (1998)

During my years in Primary School my family finally got a video camera that I was actually allowed to use. This was a dream come true, I had always wanted my own video camera. It's like when you run along with your Hot Wheels toy car driving along the walls doing impossible jumps...well now I get to film it then watch it in all its glory.
One moment that comes to mind is when I decided to mimic that old McDonalds ad with the boy in his room and he has a remote controlled car with a video camera strapped to it and remotely drives it to maccas and orders a happy meal while it transmits the video back to him in his room.
I took my dads camera and taped it to my remote controlled car and sent it down a hill.
If that doesn't convince you I love to film...
My first credited piece of camera work was my Uncles wedding reception. I was 10 years old.

Then in High School I joined the media class. This was 2004 so even personal editing software was a rarity. However my school was fortunate enough to have Adobe Premiere 6.0 and some MiniDV cameras.
From there with my friends I shot, directed, wrote, acted, sound mixed, produced, etc, etc several short films at school.. and they're online somewhere ;D

Anyway, currently I'm a 2nd year student at CIT and I study Screen and Media and work for Sony - Retail salesperson. Oh circles.
